I don't get many date nights, but I guess this kind of makes up for that. This is where Stretch and I were Saturday night:
Who else was there? John Walsh, Anne Archer, Kyle Petty, and ambassadors from 8 countries. The wife of the ambassador from Monaco was very taken with Stretch's mess dress uniform (You can see it in the picture in the top right corner of this page). She told us she's been in Washington (D.C.) for 2 years but had not seen that uniform before. Then she concluded, "I guess I'm not getting invited to the right parties!"

Oh my word! I would have felt so out of place. Kind of makes paying $12 an hour for the sitter worth it. I'm glad that you had such a special night!!!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you back today. By the time I got a chance I figured Stretch was probably home for the night.
Wow. Lucky you didn't wear your iridescent ruffled strapless, that would have been SO mortifying to have the same as the dancing lady in the video. ha ha. It's even fancier than I pictured it in my head when you described it to me. WOW. My brushes with local celebrity won't ever be that fancy!
