Happy...um....what day is it?

I've already resigned myself to the fact that I will never be Mom of the Year. I know this. But then along comes my good friend Jody to really show me up!

I didn't even remember that today was St. Patrick's Day until the rest of L'il Sis' preschool class showed up in green shirts. She picked out her own clothes and was wearing a pink tank top and denim skort with pink ruffle. There were some tiny green embroidered leaves on the skort, but I don't think they counted since her teacher pinched her anyway.

Oh, and Big Sis and I weren't wearing anything green either. Then I read Jody's blog and see they've set out leprechaun traps... and almost caught some!

Oh, please! You are an excellent mom! I can't believe Lil Sis's teacher actually pinched her. Aaron's teacher told the class yesterday that there was to be no pinching.

I'm too much of a control freak to let my kids pick out their own clothes if we have to go any where that will involve getting out of the car.

Your family always goes on fun outings and I think you just spent a lot of time and effort getting the rather short hair of a little girl into a bun.

You know I have no patience and my kids usually get the short end of that. Poor babies.

Thanks for the nice words though. I generally think I suck at this "job" so it is nice to get some kudos once in a while.

You know, I always said that I tried to give my kids enough disappointment in their lives when they were young so that they could handle it when they get older. Made me feel better about not being a perfect mom, anyway.

Check out "The New Green" entry on my blog to see my niece's St. Patrick's Day outfit. It should make you feel better.

We didn't have school on St. Patrick's day (spring break!) so we didn't wear any green nor did we go anywhere where anyone cared. I can handle only so many holidays and this is one that has nothing to do with me. But, you ARE IRISH (at least a much greater portion of your ancestry is than mine~!). ha ha ha
