not a good look

Now, I'm no fashionista. I can usually be seen sporting some seriously unfashionable mommy gear because it's comfortable, darn it. But today, I saw 2 outfits that stood out in their wrongness. One was a young woman sporting one of those trendy sweat suits. The pants were low-cut exposing her flat little belly because the jacket didn't quite meet the pants. But it was the shoes that got me. Bedazzled thong sandals with kitten heels. It just didn't look right, people.

But the wrongest (yes, I know that's not really a word, but it fits this situation) was the woman I saw running in my neighborhood. I imagine her mental checklist as she geared up for her run: Running shoes. Check. Running shorts. Check. Ipod. Check. Tube top. Check.

A tube top for running?! Seriously? That sounds like asking for an injury.

she was probably hoping that the tube top ooops! fell off. I dont get the people that go running in odd attire. Really that puzzles me more then anything else.

and the bedazzled kitten heels. where can I get me some of those!

Oh, my! I just don't like kitten heels, period. Adding a little bling to them would just make them worse. And on the off chance I would ever go running, I'd need something a lot more secure than a tube top to keep "the girls" secure! Yikes!

Sounds like she deserves the two black eyes she's probably nursing right now.

A tube top is never appropriate unless it's Studio 54 night or it's part of your swimwear. Being fit is nice. Showing it off is your reward. There are tasteful and logical ways to do it, though.

I'll never forget the clear acrylic kitten heels with giant pink pom-poms I saw when I was 13. I wanted to photograph them they were so horrible.
